Mel Luff - 171 Premier 1 Women's Matches (WASPs Record)

Published Fri 17 Jun 2022

A huge congratulations to Mel Luff who took the WASPs mantle for most Premier 1 games with 171 matches in the Sunday 12 June match against Wolves, breaking the record currently held by Adrienne Mellor.

Mel debuted in 2005 at the age of 17 and was a key part of back-to-back premiership winning teams in 2017 & 2018, and represented Hockey WA from U16 right through to the Diamonds - including winning Gold Medals in 2007 & 2008 in both the U21 tournaments and WA Diamonds campaigns.

An amazing leader in the women's group, she is committed to passing on her wisdom to the next generation, and the Club thanks you Luffy for everything that you have done and continue to do for this team and club!
